Instructor

Self Defense Muay Thai KickboxingRoland C. Hawley

Has over 25 years of Martial arts training , competing and teaching experience, in such Arts as Judo, Shotokan Karate, Goju Ryu Karate, Jiu- Jitsu, boxing, Kickboxing, and traditional Muay Thai.

Mr. Hawley’s extensive weapons training and hand combat training in the U.S. Marine Corps has led to his teaching of Municipality Police, R.C.M.P., Security detachment teams and body guard services.

His opinion on instructing:

I feel that all Martial Arts instructors should have experience, not just the training, otherwise they would be unable to teach proper usable Self Defense. (for how would one know what works or what doesn’t if they have never had any experience in using any of their skill before)

His opinion on being a master:
A lot of Martial Artists call themselves “ Masters “ of their art, however I believe that the learning of any Martial Art is a never ending process and as such, your body is constantly changing and always having to adapt. Therefore, ….the ability of “Mastering” anything is a lifetime of learning.
